Microdermabrasion

Diamond Microdermabrasion is a state-of-the-art skincare technique that utilizes mechanical exfoliation to rejuvenate and restore the skin’s natural radiance. This treatment involves the use of a specialized handheld device with a diamond-tipped head that gently abrades the skin’s surface. Simultaneously, vacuum suction is applied to remove the loosened dead skin cells and impurities, leaving behind a fresher and revitalized complexion.

One of the primary benefits of Diamond Microdermabrasion is its ability to effectively exfoliate the skin. By removing the outermost layer of dead skin cells, this treatment not only unclogs pores but also stimulates the skin’s natural regeneration process. As a result, overall skin texture is significantly improved, revealing a smoother and softer skin surface. This refinement in texture not only feels wonderful but also imparts a youthful glow to the skin, making it an ideal choice for individuals seeking a quick and effective way to refresh their appearance.

For those battling acne or dealing with acne scars, Diamond Microdermabrasion can be a game-changer. By exfoliating the skin and unclogging pores, it helps prevent future breakouts and minimizes the appearance of acne scars, resulting in a clearer and smoother complexion.

In essence, Diamond Microdermabrasion offers a comprehensive solution for individuals looking to revitalize their skin and address a range of common skincare concerns. It’s a non-invasive, painless, and highly effective treatment that can leave you with a noticeably rejuvenated, healthier, and more youthful-looking complexion.

What Is Nappage Mesotherapy?
Nappage is the preferred mesotherapy injection technique, developed by the renowned French physician Dr. Michael Pistor. Nappage involves administering a series of micro-injections spaced between 2mm and 4mm apart. Professional-grade Fusion sterile serums, enriched with growth factors, hyaluronic acid, amino acids, minerals, and vitamins, are used to transport the mesotherapy ingredients to the skin’s epidermal layers. This is where cellular interactions occur, resulting in improved skin health and appearance.

Radiofrequency & Ultrasound Cavitation

Radiofrequency

Radiofrequency therapy is a cutting-edge and highly effective anti-aging treatment that has gained prominence for its ability to rejuvenate the skin and combat the signs of aging. This remarkable procedure revolves around the principle of stimulating the production of new collagen fibers, which are fundamental to the skin’s density, firmness, and elasticity. Collagen, a protein responsible for skin structure, tends to diminish with age, leading to the formation of wrinkles, sagging, and a loss of skin quality.

Radiofrequency therapy addresses this issue by harnessing energy waves to generate controlled heat in the deeper layers of the skin. This precise heating action not only triggers a natural wound healing response but also kickstarts the production of fresh collagen. As a result, the skin experiences a significant improvement in its texture, firmness, and overall quality. Collagen fibers become more abundant and better organized, leading to a tighter, plumper, and more youthful appearance.

One of the remarkable aspects of radiofrequency therapy is its ability to promote cell turnover. The increased collagen production not only enhances skin structure but also encourages the renewal of skin cells. This process helps to shed older, damaged skin cells, revealing fresher, healthier, and more radiant skin beneath. Consequently, the skin’s texture becomes smoother, and fine lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced.

Furthermore, radiofrequency therapy is particularly effective in addressing sagging skin. As the treatment encourages the formation of new collagen, it naturally tightens and lifts loose or sagging areas, such as the jowls or neck. The outcome is skin that appears firmer, thicker, and more rejuvenated, effectively reversing the visible effects of aging.

Ultrasound Cavitation

Ultrasound Cavitation is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that has gained popularity for its ability to reduce localized fat and promote body contouring. Here’s a brief overview of this innovative service:

How it Works: Ultrasound Cavitation works by using low-frequency ultrasound waves to target and break down fat cells beneath the skin’s surface. The ultrasound waves create microscopic bubbles within the fat cells, causing them to rupture. The body’s natural processes then eliminate these broken-down fat cells through the lymphatic system and metabolic pathways.

3 days before your appointment:

Aftercare

Please adhere to these essential post-treatment guidelines:

UV Exposure: Avoid exposing your skin to UV rays, including sun exposure and tanning beds, for a minimum of 4 weeks following the treatment. When outdoors for essential activities, use SPF 50+ sunscreen. However, completely avoid sunbathing, extended sun exposure, or tanning beds during this period.

Moisturisation: Apply moisturizer to the treated area twice daily. Please inquire about the recommended brands we carry.
Sun Protection: Even when indoors, use SPF 30-50 sunscreen, as UV radiation can still affect your skin. This precaution is essential due to increased UV sensitivity following the Radio-frequency treatment.

Hypersensitivity: Individuals with sun hypersensitivity should take extra care to protect their skin immediately after the procedure, as they may experience heightened sensitivity.

Face Washing: For the first 24 hours, wash your face gently using only your hands and cool water. Avoid scrubbing or using abrasive products.

Hot Baths and Showers: Refrain from hot baths, showers, swimming, steam rooms, or saunas for 24 hours.
Topical Products: Do not apply any drying or irritating products (e.g., bleaching or perfumed products) to your skin for 48 hours.

Makeup: You can apply makeup a few hours after the treatment.

Hydration: Drink ample water (approximately 2-3 liters per day, depending on your activity level and environmental conditions) to help your body efficiently eliminate toxins and support collagen production.

Physical Activity and Alcohol: Avoid strenuous exercise or alcohol consumption for 24 hours following the procedure.

Diet and Sleep: Maintain a balanced diet and ensure you get quality sleep.

Resuming Skincare Products: You may resume the regular use of Retin-A, alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA), beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) products, or bleaching creams after two weeks post-procedure. If you have any questions, consult your aesthetician.

Maintenance Treatments: Consider scheduling maintenance treatments every 1-2 months to preserve your results. While natural aging occurs over time, some clients may opt for longer intervals based on their experience and achieved results.

Brow Lamination

Brow lamination overview
Brow lamination works in a similar way to a lash lift, and is designed to open up your eyes. Brow Lamination is a new and exciting salon treatment to delicately and accurately groom brow hairs into a perfect shape and style that stay in place for up to 8 weeks. Brow Lamination realigns brow hairs into shape adding fullness and definition using specialised products developed by experts. Developed by professionals to meet the desire for perfect brows day after day without the need to constantly groom brows into place. This treatment takes just 30 to 45 minutes and will give the appearance of thicker brows that are expertly styled into the clients’ desired shape. To complete the look, a brow tinting treatment can be added using QIC for an intense colour that lasts.

What does the treatment involve?
The treatment involves 4 key products, which have all been expertly developed by industry professionals and are ideal for use on eyebrows. The first is Fixing Adhesive – this is a brow lamination glue which secures the brows in the chosen shape and style, ready for the Brow Styling and Fixing Lotions. This is followed by the Brow Styling Lotion, which is brushed through eyebrow hairs to make them softer and more malleable. Next, the Brow Fixing Lotion is applied – the special formula rebuilds the structure of the hair and sets it in its new position. Finally, to finish the treatment, Brow Lamination Serum which contains keratin is applied to the brow – this products helps to hydrate and nourish the brow hair. Brow Lamination aftercare is simple; for the first 24 hours, you should treat your brows with care and avoid steam baths and saunas, and after this time you can treat your brows as normal.

Patch Test

The point of the patch test is to see if you have an allergic reaction to the product or not. This is to ensure it is safe for us to proceed and avoid any negligence.

Recommended every 6-8 weeks, brow lamination creates a lift, volume and fullness. Places the hairs into uniform fullness and definition, eliminating the messy brow issue! Patch test must be required minimum of 24-48 hours before hand and correct aftercare for best effective results.

Preparing for Your Massage: Tips for a Great Experience

A one-hour massage with your therapist often feels like it passes by too quickly. While a single massage may not cure all your ailments, proper preparation can help you make the most of your experience and its many benefits. Here are some helpful tips for your next massage:

Stay Hydrated:
It’s crucial to be well-hydrated before your massage to facilitate the elimination of toxins that can be released into your body’s circulation during the treatment. Drinking water or herbal teas is an excellent way to stay hydrated. It’s advisable to avoid beverages like regular tea, coffee, alcohol, or any other stimulants.

Eat Lightly:
Though it may not bother your therapist, a noisy stomach due to digestion can be awkward. It’s best to have a light meal at least one hour before your massage. If you’re concerned about getting hungry during the session, opt for a easily digestible snack like fruit.

Take a Hot Shower:
Since a massage involves hands-on treatment of both your muscles and skin, feeling clean before your massage is essential. While you’ll need to shower again afterward to remove excess oil or gel, a hot shower before your massage can also help relax your muscles.

Dress Comfortably:
While it’s true that an oil massage is applied to the skin, the clothing you wear does matter. Wearing comfortable attire not only helps you feel at ease before your massage but also ensures your comfort afterward. Don’t forget about your choice of shoes; avoiding high heels is recommended, as they can cause unnecessary tension in your leg muscles.

Aftercare

Swedish Massage Aftercare Recommendations

After your relaxing Swedish massage, it’s important to follow these guidelines to enhance your post-massage experience:

Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins released during the massage and to keep your body well-hydrated.

Take It Easy: Avoid strenuous physical activity for the remainder of the day to allow your muscles to fully relax and benefit from the massage.

Gentle Stretching: If you feel any residual muscle tension, consider gentle stretching exercises to further alleviate stiffness.

Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: Refrain from consuming alcohol and caffeine for a few hours after your massage to ensure optimal hydration and relaxation.

Listen to Your Body: Pay attention to how your body feels. If you experience any discomfort or soreness after the massage, it’s normal and should subside within a day or two.

Warm Bath or Shower: A warm bath or shower can enhance the relaxation effects of the massage and promote muscle recovery.

Rest: Ensure you get a good night’s sleep to allow your body to fully benefit from the massage’s rejuvenating effects.

By following these aftercare recommendations, you’ll prolong the positive effects of your Swedish massage, leaving you feeling refreshed and revitalized.

Relax Swedish Massage – £50

Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage is a specialized massage therapy that adds an extra layer of relaxation and therapeutic benefits to the traditional massage experience. This technique involves the use of smooth, flat, heated stones that are strategically placed on specific areas of the body and used by the massage therapist during the treatment. Hot Stone Massage is renowned for its ability to induce deep relaxation and alleviate muscle tension, making it a popular choice for those seeking not only physical relief but also a heightened sense of tranquility.

Throughout both oral traditions and written historical accounts, it is well-documented that the Chinese employed heated stones over two millennia ago to enhance the functionality of internal organs. Similarly, various cultures across the globe, including North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Egypt, and India, embraced the therapeutic potential of stones in their healing practices.

Benefits of Hot Stone Massage

Massage, an ancient healing practice, offers numerous benefits for the body’s various systems, some of which are detailed below:

The Nervous System:
Massage profoundly influences the nervous system, offering both soothing and stimulating effects. It can provide relief from nervous irritability, addressing issues such as insomnia, tension, headaches, and other stress-related conditions. On the other hand, massage can also stimulate nerve activity, promoting increased muscle, vessel, and gland activity. This is particularly valuable in combating lethargy and fatigue.

The Muscular System:
The muscular system reaps significant rewards from massage. Different techniques can both relax and stretch muscles and soft tissues, reducing tension and cramps. Massage can break down fibrous tissues, adhesions, and old scar tissue, cleansing them of waste deposits. Additionally, it aids in the elimination of toxic products that accumulate during muscle activity. Other massage movements promote muscle contraction, enhancing muscle tone and reducing fatigue and stiffness resulting from over activity.

The Skeletal System:
Indirectly, massage strengthens the skeletal system. Improved blood and lymph circulation in the muscles benefits the underlying bones, enhancing their nutrition and growth. It also eases joint stiffness and provides comfort for conditions such as arthritis, promoting ease of movement.

The Circulatory System:
Massage benefits the circulatory system by reducing pressure on arteries and veins, thereby increasing blood flow and offering relief for poor circulation and cardiac issues. It strengthens the heartbeat, slows the heart rate, and reduces high blood pressure.

The Lymphatic System:
Massage stimulates the lymphatic system, accelerating the flow of lymph throughout the body. This aids in the rapid elimination of waste and toxins that accumulate in our stressed bodies. Massage can also disperse swelling and edema, preventing the formation of adhesions, which can restrict movement if left untreated.

The Respiratory System:
Increased lung activity is stimulated by massage, resulting in slowed and deepened breathing. If necessary, percussive movements during massage can encourage mucus and bronchial secretions to leave the lungs.

The Digestive System:
Massage promotes peristaltic activity in the colon, enhancing the elimination of waste and combating constipation. It strengthens the muscular walls of the intestines and abdomen, stimulating the secretion of digestive juices from various organs. Additionally, massage improves digestion and increases the absorption of digested foods.

The Skin:
The skin benefits from massage as well. Sweat and sebaceous glands are stimulated, improving their function and waste product elimination. Removing dead skin cells keeps pores open, allowing better skin respiration and enhancing skin texture, suppleness, and elasticity. Overall, skin health and appearance improve, leaving it healthy and radiant.

The Urinary System:
Abdominal and back massage can promote kidney activity, enhancing waste product elimination and reducing fluid retention.

The Reproductive System:
Massage can improve the reproductive system, alleviating menstrual problems such as period pains, irregular menstruation, PMS, and menopausal symptoms when performed on the abdomen and back.

In summary, massage is an excellent preventative treatment that contributes to health and fitness maintenance. It offers numerous advantages, and its preventative nature is a valuable asset in promoting overall well-being. Hot stone massage, in particular, is known for its stress and anxiety-reducing effects, relief from muscle tension and pain, promotion of sleep, and positive impact on an individual’s overall sense of well-being.

These rich traditions encompassed diverse stone-related rituals, such as the strategic placement of stones on the body, the wearing of stones for health and protective purposes, the utilization of stones in diagnosing and treating ailments, and their integral role in ceremonial practices like sweat lodges and medicine wheels. The universal recognition of stones as tools for both physical and spiritual well-being underscores the enduring and widespread significance of this ancient practice throughout human history.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage, also known as Champissage, is a specialized massage technique rooted in ancient Indian traditions. This therapeutic massage approach focuses on relieving stress and tension by employing deep acupressure techniques primarily in the areas of the head, neck, and shoulders. Indian Head Massage is renowned for its ability to provide both physical and mental relaxation, making it a popular choice for those seeking relief from the pressures of daily life.

The hallmark of Indian Head Massage lies in its targeted approach to stress relief. The massage therapist uses a combination of gentle to firm pressure and specific massage strokes to manipulate the muscles, joints, and energy points in the head, neck, and shoulder areas. By focusing on these regions, where we tend to carry a significant amount of tension, the massage can effectively alleviate stress-related discomfort.

One of the key benefits of Indian Head Massage is its capacity to relieve muscle tension and reduce headaches. The acupressure techniques employed during the massage stimulate blood flow to the head and neck, which helps to relax the muscles and ease tightness. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals who suffer from tension headaches or migraine episodes.

Moreover, Indian Head Massage is known for its profound effects on mental relaxation. As the therapist works on pressure points and energy channels in the head, it can induce a deep sense of calm and tranquility. It can promote a sense of mental clarity and relaxation, leaving clients feeling revitalized and refreshed.

Beyond its stress-relief benefits, Indian Head Massage can also enhance overall well-being. By promoting relaxation and improving blood circulation in the head and neck areas, it can contribute to better sleep quality, increased concentration, and a general sense of vitality.

In essence, Indian Head Massage is a therapeutic and holistic approach to relieving stress and tension, with a focus on the areas where these burdens are often most prominent. This massage technique offers both physical and mental relaxation, making it a popular choice for individuals seeking relief from headaches, muscle tension, and the stresses of modern life. Whether you’re looking for targeted relief or a tranquil escape from everyday pressures, Indian Head Massage provides a pathway to enhanced well-being and relaxation.

Dermaplaning

What Is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a safe and highly effective physical exfoliation procedure, provided it’s performed by a properly trained professional. This technique involves the use of a sterile surgical scalpel to gently exfoliate the skin’s surface, eliminating the topmost layer of dead skin cells and fine vellus hair, often referred to as peach fuzz.

The dermaplane procedure typically lasts for about 20-30 minutes. Before beginning, the targeted area is cleansed, and then a sterile blade is employed to delicately exfoliate the skin. Anesthetic is unnecessary for this virtually painless process. Following the procedure, the removed skin cells and peach fuzz are gently wiped away, revealing a fresh and vibrant skin surface.

When Will I See Results?

Initial improvements from dermaplaning are immediately visible. However, for optimal results, regular maintenance treatments are recommended. Just as it took years for your skin to lose its vitality, it will require time to regenerate new cells fully.

What Can I Expect After My Dermaplane?

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive procedure with a low risk of complications, making it one of the safest skin rejuvenation methods available. Some individuals may experience temporary redness or a dry sensation in their skin after treatment. Very rarely, the skin may be nicked during the process, but these instances typically heal promptly. It’s worth noting that most individuals use blades on their faces daily without long-term effects. Post-treatment care involves the use of moisturizers and sunscreens, along with avoiding sun exposure for a few days. This “lunch hour” procedure requires no downtime, and most people can resume their regular activities immediately.

Will Peach Fuzz Grow Back Darker and Thicker?

No, this is a common misconception. The hair on your face differs from the hair on your legs or bikini line and is not affected by dermaplaning in any way.

What Should I NOT Expect From My Dermaplane Treatment?

Regular dermaplane treatments can improve or eliminate superficial skin issues, working effectively on all skin types and colors. However, it does not cause changes in skin color or scarring. It is not a solution for problems like stretch marks, keloids, wrinkle reduction, or deep acne scars.

Can I Combine Dermaplaning with Other Treatments?

Absolutely! Combining dermaplaning with treatments such as chemical peels or laser procedures is highly recommended. After removing the outermost layer of the epidermis, dermaplaning allows subsequent rejuvenation treatments to penetrate deeper and have a longer-lasting impact. Dermaplaning is particularly beneficial for individuals with extremely dry skin, mild acne scarring, or mature skin with fine lines and wrinkles. However, it is not performed on the eyelids, nose, or chest. To maintain the benefits, dermaplaning should be repeated every three weeks, and clients should consistently use sunscreen to prevent hyperpigmentation.

What Should Clients Expect?

The dermaplaning procedure is painless, akin to the sensation of shaving the legs. There is no downtime, allowing clients to resume their normal activities immediately.

What Are the Drawbacks of Dermaplaning?

While dermaplaning offers several benefits, it’s important to consider some potential drawbacks. Individuals with very sensitive skin may not be ideal candidates due to the procedure’s more aggressive exfoliation nature. Skin may naturally peel after dermaplaning, especially if treatments are performed every two to three weeks. This necessitates the use of a rich moisturizer to prevent excessive dryness. Dermaplaning may not be suitable for individuals with acne or frequent breakouts, as it can stimulate sebaceous gland activity. Acne-prone individuals require vellus hairs to expel oil buildup under the skin, and removing these hairs via dermaplaning may lead to more breakouts and worsened acne.

Benefits of Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning offers a range of benefits suitable for various individuals with different skincare needs. Whether you’re dealing with unwanted facial hair, seeking effective exfoliation, or facing restrictions on other exfoliating treatments, dermaplaning can be a valuable addition to your skincare routine.

Effective Exfoliation: Dermaplaning provides a gentle yet effective method of exfoliating the skin’s surface. It helps remove the top layer of dead skin cells, leaving your skin feeling smoother and looking more vibrant.

Safe for All Skin Types: This treatment is suitable for all skin types, making it a versatile option for many individuals. It does not disrupt the pH balance of the skin, ensuring compatibility with various skin conditions.

Improves Skin Tone: Dermaplaning can contribute to improving the overall tone of your skin, giving it a healthier and more even appearance.

Addresses Superficial Pigmentation: It can be beneficial in addressing superficial pigmentation concerns, helping to reduce the appearance of uneven skin tone.

Removes Facial Hair: Dermaplaning effectively removes fuzzy facial hair, also known as peach fuzz, leaving your skin smoother and makeup application more seamless.

Softens Fine Lines and Wrinkles: By exfoliating the skin and encouraging cell turnover, dermaplaning may help soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, promoting a more youthful look.

Reduces Superficial Scarring: It can also contribute to the softening of superficial scars, helping to improve the overall texture of your skin.

No Downtime: Dermaplaning is a non-invasive procedure with no downtime, allowing you to return to your daily activities immediately after treatment.

Enhances Skincare Product Absorption: When used in conjunction with other skincare treatments like chemical peels, dermaplaning can help these products penetrate deeper into the skin, maximizing their effectiveness.

In summary, dermaplaning is a versatile and safe skincare procedure suitable for various individuals, including those with unwanted facial hair, superficial pigmentation concerns, and a desire for improved skin texture and tone. Its non-invasive nature and compatibility with different skin types make it an attractive choice for achieving smoother, more radiant skin.

Waxing

Waxing offers a swift and efficient method for removing unwanted hair from various parts of the body, targeting hair at its root. While waxing provides temporary hair removal, consistent treatments can lead to reduced hair growth over time. The repeated waxing process weakens the hair follicles, resulting in diminished hair regrowth, although the rate of regrowth varies from person to person.

In contrast, methods like shaving, cutting, abrasive gloves, and depilatory creams merely remove hair from the skin’s surface. Consequently, these methods lead to rapid, sharp regrowth of thicker and coarser hair within days.

Advantages of Waxing:
Waxing yields a clean and smooth finish, effectively removing even smaller hairs. With regular treatments, hair regrowth tends to become lighter and softer over time. Additionally, waxing allows for the efficient treatment of larger areas in relatively short time frames. Warm wax is particularly effective at removing shorter, finer hairs.

Disadvantages of Waxing:
While waxing offers numerous benefits, some individuals may experience discomfort during the procedure. Furthermore, hair must reach a certain length for effective waxing, necessitating some patience before treatment. In-grown hairs can be an occasional side effect of waxing, as the hair, having been pulled from the root, becomes lighter and thinner, making it challenging to penetrate the skin’s surface. Regular exfoliation can help prevent in-grown hairs, ensuring a smoother post-waxing experience.

Post-Waxing Care Instructions

Immediate Aftercare (Next 24 – 48 Hours):

To ensure the best results and minimize any potential discomfort, please follow these guidelines:

Keep the Waxed Area Clean: Maintain cleanliness in the treated area.

Avoid Heat and Friction: Refrain from activities that may expose the waxed area to heat or friction.

This means:

No Hot Baths or Showers: Use only cool to lukewarm water during this period.

Avoid Saunas, Hot Tubs, Massages, or Steam Treatments.

No Tanning: This includes sunbathing, tanning beds, or applying fake tans.

Avoid Intense Physical Activity: Skip sports, gym workouts, and other forms of exercise.

Do Not Scratch or Touch: Keep unwashed hands away from the treated area.

Wear Loose, Clean Clothing: Opt for loose-fitting attire to prevent friction.

Chlorinated Pools: Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools.

No Additional Products: Do not apply deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotions, or any other products to the waxed area unless recommended by your therapist.

Aftercare for Soothing and Protection (Next 3 Days):

To soothe and protect your skin, apply an antiseptic cream to the waxed area regularly over the next three days. Always ensure your hands are clean before applying any product.

Preventing Ingrown Hairs:

Beginning a few days after your appointment and continuing a couple of times every week, gently exfoliate the waxed areas using a dry brush or exfoliating mitt. Do this just before stepping into the bath or shower, ensuring both your skin and the brush are dry.

After bathing or showering, apply some baby oil or E45 lotion to the waxed area.

Moisturize daily to keep your skin supple and assist new hairs in growing normally. Avoid excessive or harsh exfoliation, as it can irritate the skin and lead to ingrown hairs.

Hair Regrowth:

You may notice some regrowth after about a week. It can take up to four treatments for your hair to synchronize into a growth cycle that yields the best results.

Please remember:

Allow at least 3-4 weeks of hair growth before your next waxing session.
Do not shave between appointments to maintain a smooth appearance.
To keep your skin consistently smooth, I recommend regular waxing every 4-6 weeks.

Thank you for choosing our waxing service. Please adhere to these guidelines to ensure your skin receives the proper care in the days following your treatment. Please note that some mild soreness, small bumps, and redness are common and temporary reactions, especially if this is your first wax. These symptoms should subside within the next 24 – 48 hours. If you experience persistent redness or irritation or have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities.

Threading

Our Threading Service is your ticket to achieving perfectly groomed eyebrows and smooth, hair-free facial skin. Threading is an ancient hair removal technique that has stood the test of time for a reason – it offers precision and finesse that other methods simply can’t match. At our salon, we have skilled and experienced threading specialists who are experts at shaping and defining eyebrows to enhance your natural beauty.

What sets threading apart is its accuracy and gentleness. Using a cotton thread, our specialists remove unwanted hair from the root, resulting in a clean and precise finish. This method is not only highly effective for eyebrow shaping but also ideal for removing unwanted facial hair, including those fine, hard-to-reach hairs around the lips and cheeks.

One of the key benefits of threading is that it is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin, as it doesn’t involve the use of chemicals or harsh products. It’s also a quick and relatively painless procedure that leaves your skin feeling smooth and rejuvenated.

The art of threading involves skillfully using a fine piece of cotton thread, swiftly gliding it across the skin to extract hair at its root without any collateral damage to the skin. Proficient threading practitioners can execute the procedure with remarkable speed, and for many, threading proves to be less painful than alternatives like waxing or plucking. While eyebrow threading is the most common application, threading can effectively address hair removal on various facial areas. It is important to note that threading is primarily suitable for flat skin surfaces, which is why it has not replaced waxing for bikini line hair removal.

The Procedure

Threading is a minimalist technique, demanding nothing more than a spool of sterile cotton. No additional strips are necessary to achieve hair removal. This method operates by meticulously extracting hair directly from the follicle, resulting in regrowth typically occurring after approximately 4 to 6 weeks.

To perform threading, one end of the thread is secured between the therapist’s teeth, while the other end is deftly wrapped around the fingers, creating a snug loop. With the thread primed, it is then deftly rolled over the skin’s surface, utilizing its twisted design to efficiently capture and remove hair as it glides over the targeted areas.

How to Prepare for Brow Threading

Preparing for your brow threading appointment is a straightforward process that ensures a successful and high-quality consultation. Here are some steps to follow before your appointment:

1. Exfoliate: Prior to your appointment, exfoliate the skin around your brows. This helps remove dead skin cells that could potentially clog pores and lead to ingrown hairs. Exfoliating is a preventive measure that can help you avoid these issues altogether.

2. Stay Hydrated: Maintaining optimal skin condition is crucial, and drinking water is a simple way to achieve this. Hydrated skin is less sensitive, which can make your threading experience more comfortable.

3. Arrive Makeup-Free: To receive the best possible care, ensure your skin and brows are free of makeup when you arrive for your appointment. This step helps your brow artist provide you with the most effective treatment and reduces the risk of clogged pores.

Threading Aftercare Advice

After your threading session, it’s important to follow these guidelines for the best results:

Sun Protection: Avoid sun exposure as much as possible during the first 2 hours after threading. Your skin will be more sensitive to UV rays immediately after the procedure. If you must go outside, remember to apply sunscreen to protect your skin.

Heat Avoidance: Stay away from heat sources, including tanning beds, hot baths, and saunas. Heat can exacerbate sensitivity.

Hands Off: Try not to touch your brows after threading, as the oils on your fingers can clog the pores that were opened during the process. This can lead to breakouts or minor skin infections.

Cleansing: You can use a gentle face wash a few hours after your treatment, but avoid exfoliating for at least 24 hours.

Toner Mist: To soothe and close the pores, consider using a toner mist, which we offer in-store after your treatment. It helps refresh and calm the skin.

Maintenance: Most clients find that scheduling touch-up threading appointments every 2 to 4 weeks helps keep their brows looking sharp and clean. You can have threading done as soon as the hair length grows just past the skin.

Following these aftercare instructions will help you maintain beautiful and well-groomed eyebrows.

Aftercare

Aftercare Guidelines:

Please be aware that it’s entirely normal to experience some redness following an eyebrow shaping treatment, especially among clients with sensitive skin. Typically, this redness subsides within a few hours, although the exact duration can vary depending on an individual’s skin sensitivity.

For the well-being and longevity of your eyebrow treatment, we recommend the following precautions for at least 24 hours after your session:

Avoid Touching the Area: During this period, your pores are open, and touching the treated area may introduce infection.

Sauna, Steam Room, and Hot Tubs: Steer clear of these environments as they can also expose your open pores to potential infection.

UV Light Exposure: Prolonged exposure to UV lights should be avoided as it may lead to hyperpigmentation.

Swimming: Stay away from swimming activities, as chlorine and other pool chemicals can potentially cause irritation.

Perfumed Products: Refrain from using perfumed products in the treated area, as they may irritate the skin.

Sunbeds: Avoid tanning beds, as they can have similar effects to natural sunlight on the skin.

Make-Up Application: Resist the temptation to apply makeup to the treated area, as your open pores could be susceptible to infection.

In the event of irritation occurring within the first hour after treatment, consider applying a cold compress to the area. Should irritation persist for more than 12 hours, we recommend seeking medical advice for further evaluation.

General Homecare Tips:

Soothing Antiseptic Cream: To alleviate any redness or discomfort, apply a soothing antiseptic cream, such as aloe vera, to the treated area.

Grooming: Use a brow/lash brush to groom your eyebrows into shape, maintaining a tidy appearance.

Follow-up Maintenance: For the continued upkeep of your beautifully shaped brows, we recommend scheduling an eyebrow tidy appointment in 2-4 weeks. This ensures your brows remain in their optimal condition.

Our team of skilled and trained piercing specialists is well-versed in the art of ear piercing, ensuring that you receive a service that meets the highest standards of precision and hygiene.

About Caflon Blu

We use Caflon Blu for our ear piercing service. Caflon is dedicated to the manufacturing and global distribution of top-tier ear piercing equipment and hypo-allergenic fashion earrings. They proudly stand as one of the world’s largest manufacturers and distributors of ear piercing equipment, serving customers in over 78 countries worldwide.

Additionally, Caflon offers an extensive array of sales and marketing aids, including Natural Solution and antiseptic wipes, along with specially designed starter kits tailored to meet the needs of aspiring ear piercing enthusiasts.

How it works

Caflon Blu is specifically designed for piercing the earlobe, which consists of soft tissue covering connective fatty tissue. This area is the ideal location for ear piercing, and it typically takes 4-6 weeks to heal. The cartilage area, characterized by elastic tissue covered with skin and fine hair, can also be pierced with the Caflon Blu system. However, it is crucial to inform clients that cartilage piercing requires extra care due to its longer healing period of at least 12 weeks. Please note that the Caflon Blu Ear Piercing System is not intended for piercing any other body parts other than the ear lobe.

Client Safety

Client safety is paramount. Therefore, clients with specific conditions that may increase the risk of infection or slow healing should seek medical advice before undergoing ear piercing. Conditions include:

  • Circulation disorders
  • High or low Blood Pressure
  • History of Thrombosis / Embolism
  • Epilepsy (Epileptics must be accompanied by someone during the piercing)
  • Pregnancy
  • Diabetes (may affect healing time)
  • Dysfunctions of the Nervous System
  • Skin disorders (e.g., eczema, psoriasis)
  • Bruises, recent Haemorrhage, or Swelling
  • Scar tissue or Keloids
  • Warts or Moles (piercing may not be suitable through freckles)
  • Cuts, Abrasions, or recent surgical operations

Aftercare Instructions

It is crucial to understand the importance of diligent aftercare.

To Prevent Infection:

  1. Avoid unnecessary touching of the ears and studs.
  2. Wash hands thoroughly before touching studs or ears.
  3. Tie back hair to prevent contact with the ears.
  4. Cleanse the front and back of the ear twice a day using CAFLON Natural Solution (four times for cartilage), without removing the studs. After cleansing, gently rotate the studs 2 or 3 times, performing a half turn (180°) left and 180° right. This rotation prevents hair from wrapping around the post at the back of the lobe.
  5. Keep the ear DRY between cleansing.
  6. Avoid contact with hair spray, soap, shampoo, and other products. After shampooing, rinse the ear with clean water and cleanse it with CAFLON Natural Solution as described above. Refrain from beauty or hair treatments for 24 hours.
  7. Cleanse the piercing area with CAFLON Natural Solution and keep it DRY, especially after bathing, swimming, or exercising.

Do Not:

  1. Do not replace studs with other earrings during the initial 6-week healing period (12 weeks for cartilage).
  2. Do not push the butterfly clasp along the post toward the ear; it should always be positioned at the end of the post.
  3. Verify the position each time you clean the ear – it should feel smooth. Ensuring the earrings remain loose during the healing period is vital, as tightness may lead to inflammation.

To Prevent Piercings from Closing:

  1. Keep studs in the ears continuously for 6 weeks (12 weeks for cartilage).
  2. After 6 weeks (12 weeks for cartilage), the stud can be removed, and other post-type earrings may be worn continuously for 6 to 12 months.
  3. Suggest Caon Natural Care Solution to your client for the correct aftercare solution.
  4. During the first year of piercing, avoid going longer than 24 hours without wearing earrings to prevent the piercings from closing.
  5. Use only post-style earrings continuously for the first 6 months after piercing. The post should be surgical stainless steel or another hypoallergenic material.
  6. Minor pain or redness may occur immediately after piercing – this is normal and should settle within 48 hours with proper aftercare. If undue pain, swelling, or redness occurs at any time, seek medical advice before removing the ear-piercing studs.

Ear Cartilage:
Due to the nature of ear cartilage, extra care is necessary during the healing period.

Minor pain or redness may occur immediately, which is normal and should settle within 48 hours with proper aftercare. If undue pain, swelling, or redness occurs at any time, seek medical advice. Do not remove studs before consulting with a medical professional. Failure to follow aftercare procedures or seek immediate medical advice for any issues may result in permanent damage to the ear cartilage.

Potential Problems:
Ear piercing is typically a straightforward procedure, provided you diligently follow the instructions in this manual. Healing time can vary among individuals, but on average, it takes 4 – 6 weeks for the lobe and 12 weeks for the cartilage to heal.

The most significant issue you might encounter is if the client moves during the piercing process, resulting in an inaccurate piercing. In such cases, advise clients not to remove the ear stud immediately, as this may cause bleeding. Instead, recommend leaving the stud in overnight and then removing it to allow the hole to heal over.

This advice also applies to clients who, despite proper adherence to the manual’s instructions, decide they no longer want the piercing. Suggest leaving the stud in overnight and then removing it to allow the hole to heal.

Lip Blush Aftercare Guidelines

Proper lip blush aftercare is crucial for the appearance and lasting beauty of your new lip color. Please take a moment to carefully review the following aftercare instructions:

Day 1:

  • Immediately after the procedure, your lips may feel dry, chapped, tight, and tender to the touch.
  • They may appear swollen and vibrant in color.
  • For the initial 4 hours following the treatment, gently apply light pressure to your lips using a clean paper towel to remove any lymph.
  • After this initial 4-hour period, begin applying ointment (such as Aquaphor) as needed to keep your lips consistently moisturized.
  • Avoid kissing, rubbing, or any friction on the treated area.

Days 1-3:

  • Continue applying the ointment to your lips several times a day to keep them moist.
  • Avoid consuming oily, spicy, or heavily seasoned foods.
  • When drinking, use a straw to prevent contact with your lips.
  • After each meal, gently rinse and clean your lips with water, pat them dry, and re-apply the ointment.

Days 4-7:

  • During this period, your lips will go through a natural peeling process, causing the color to lighten by approximately 30%-50%.
  • Do not pick or rub your lips; allow the peeling to happen naturally.

By following these aftercare guidelines diligently, you can help ensure the best possible results for your lip blush treatment.

Lip Blush: Achieving Optimal Results

While Lip Blush can yield impressive results, it’s important to note that achieving your desired outcome often requires at least one follow-up session. Approximately six to eight weeks after your initial treatment, we’ll invite you for a follow-up session. During this appointment, we’ll enhance the color and address any areas where pigment may be lacking. It’s after this follow-up that you’ll see the final results you’ve been aiming for.
